Heya Ya'll

Welcome!

Your tri color is very pretty.

We do pet assisted therapy through the Delta society. It is a great program, our dogs work at a children's hospital in Paterson, NJ. I am going to begin training my puppy in the pet assisted therapy sometime this spring.

Can't wait to learn more about you!

My university offers a course on ATT (animal assisted therapy) which you don't have to have a pet to take. I plan on taking that. The lady who teaches it has a cocker spaniel (Rusty I think is his name), and they're certified through Delta, which I'd like to do as well.

I want to be a therapist myself, and utilize ATT.

My sheltie is a little tri-colored 8 month old girl, named Lady, which I'm really excited about bringing home. I'm going to work on obedience with her, (though Shelties are really smart), I want to utilize her in animal assisted therapy with Delta Society when I get my Masters in Counseling, and until then, volunteer.
She's so pretty! Just a note -- because Shelties ARE smart you need to do obedience work with them. :wink2:

I will probably do that after I get my financial aid from school. Graduate school is expensive.
