Hi from Indiana!

Welcome from Newfoundland. I too got my Jesse after the kids left home. It's wonderful how you are never alone when the pups are here. I'm so glad to hear that you have rescue dogs...not everyone can commit to all the issues the dear ones might have because of their former lives. Congratulations to you!!

Calliesmom, BEAUTIFUL babies!!!

Gail, I have to confess that I didn't know what people meant when they talked about rescue online.

When I was ready for a dog, I typed in "Sheltie Rescue Indiana" and got some hits. I then read and read and read. It sure was a LOT different than going to the Humane Society and picking out a dog! WOW! The more I learned, the better I liked it.

Then I saw a picture of Scotty. I told my husband, "There's my dog!" and he was. He was a beautiful boy that had some health issues. We kept him as happy and as comfortable as possible for the 3 years before he went to the Bridge.

We have been involved in rescue ever since.

Rascal is a failed rescue. I got him out of a shelter to take him into our rescue. But as I was talking to the Pres of rescue, I looked over at Rascal and ........he licked my nose. I told her that I didn't think she was going to get this one. He's been our baby ever since. :)

All of our babies have had some type of health issue. My hubby says we have to find the ones that need us. :) He's right.
