I did go out to Scappoose. I don't remember if that was the actual name, but I believe the lady's name was Barb. She had some pups from someone who breeds over in Eastern Oregon. They were cute but were going to be too big. At the time she didn't have any pups that she actually bred. Her dogs were nice looking and I would have been willing to wait for a pup.
I know I'm being picky about purchasing a pup. But I grew up on a large farm with lots of animals. So I can look at a dog and kind of tell the size etc. I was willing to wait in order to get what I wanted in a pet. After all that animal is going to be around for 10-15 years so you should get what you want if you are going the "breeder purchase" route.
Actually found Lacey while surfing the web. The breeder had three that she had kept but felt that Lacey wouldn't be tall enough. That's why she was older. Haven't actually measured her but she is on the minimum height.
Lacey came from Wintercreek Shelties which is in the Stafford area. Her dad is Flash. I do think her dogs have a cuter face. She has the sweetest temperament. She loves everyone. She's also a little goofball! But then I'm biased, since that's where I ended up getting a pup. And it was great because she was really close so it was easy to go back for a lesson in ear gluing.
