Hi from the land down under (Sydney)

Welcome Rufus!

This is what makes this forum so awesome, even though you are so far away,we all have this love for shelties. One big happy family!

I'm looking forward to hearing & seeing pictures of your boy.He sounds like he has attitude & spunk~

Gee..Caro & I often chat early in the mornings,(my time) for her it's evening, and chat about her day thru PM's..I usually say morning, and she is just getting ready to call it a day!

I hope you enjoy it here as much as we do~

Yep its past my bedtime here Michele.:sleepy:

Rufus - well we are off to Nowra for agility on Saturday and Ulladulla for flyball on Sunday. Goulburn next month for agility, also have Flyball comps coming up in Sutherland and Kioloa. All I seem to do is drive around for competitions! Not sure what Sydney based trials we might do but we will definately be heading up to the Illawarra Sheltie and Collie show at Erskine Park in September.

Is Rufus from an Australian breeder, and does he have a registered name?

Oh and you know now you have joined this forum and watch all the puppy pics and vids being posted it will be hard to resist getting another pup...:wink2:

Welcome Rufus! It's such fun to see the connections happening -- and to have forum friends from all over the world.

Wow, I really am feeling all the 'sheltie-love' now with all the warm welcome!

Toffee's mom - I suspect Rufus got his cheeky vibes from me, lol

mbfrench - Yes, I'll paste some links to share my cheeky boy's pics with all of you. I hope the links will work! It's past midnight here, Rufus is all curled up on my bed in dreamland!

Caro - Goulburn and Sutherland sounds "drivable" for us! Let me know the dates and I'll see if I can get OH to drive us down! Rufus is from Jayess Kennel by Jeff and Jean Smith, they're located near Newcastle. I've been wanting to get Rufus a sister for a long time! Especially after all the puppy talks with Romeo/Juliet's owner..heehee.

Chris - I really hope to make friends with more sheltie owners from all over the world too! And the members of this forum are truly friendly, I'm so happy I've signed up.

Here are the links to Rufus' pics, I hope you guys can see them!

Another welcome to the Forum. Thanks for posting the photos of Rufus. He has such a sweet expression and his coat is amazing. Do you do your own grooming or does he go to a groomer?

Rufus looks like he is well and truly spoiled!! A very handsome guy with a nice Sheltie smile. Thanks a lot for the pictures.

We were actually in Oz first couple weeks of Nov. Did a horseback vacation near Port Macquarie for a week (fabulous), a couple days in Sydney, and then a week in Tasmania, which was wonderful. SIGH. We did miss our girls, tho!!

Would be fun if you two Aussie gals could connect. This forum is such a nice way to connect with others who are nuts about their dogs.

Look forward to hearing more about Rufus.

Sharon

Thanks for the compliments :smile2:

Jan - Hi! I groom him myself, though I don't do much on him except a little trim here and there around the paws/bottoms/ears.

Sharon - Wow, your trip sounds fun. I love horseriding! I've never been to Tassie though, heard it's cold there? I know what you mean, I had separation anxiety when OH and I went back to Singapore for a week. If only we could bring our furbabies everywhere with us!

Calliesmom/MissSuzie - Thanks for the warm welcome and the compliments. If Rufus could understand these he'd be on cloud9!

Hello Cheryl!! Welcome to the forum! Told you we don't bite!

You will love it here! Everyone's kind and friendly and they are always ready to lend an ear and offer advice! Oh the magic of shelties!

You'll get Rufus a sister soon enough! :wink2:
