Hello to all! I'm KalasRaven and my favorite breed of dog are obviously shelties! They're the only breed of dog I will ever get.

I fell in love with the breed when I was 8 while helping a woman at dog training train her shelties. I rescued my first sheltie shortly after. She was a 2 year old named Classy. She was 14 when she passed away almost a year ago. She was my buddy. <3

I hope to get another sheltie soon. After a year of being alone I'm ready to give all the love I have to another best buddy.

Welcome KalasRaven from across the bridge in NJ. You cerainly have a bunch of cuties in your life. I am so happy to hear you rescued Classy and she gave you many years of happiness. I rescued my Max at age 2.5 and he just turned five. He is my second luv pup. This is a great sight, I don't know how I lived with out when I had Wily! It was two years between them, at my age I had no intentions of getting another dog period! Oh well hehehe.

I am from NJ and have three shelties, Vinca, Chloe, and Dandie.
 
So happy for you to join our group. Thrilled that you're ready to get another Sheltie. Please consider adopting from a local rescue. I volunteer with two in our area (Northern Va. Sheltie Rescue and Northern Chesapeake Sheltie Rescue) and both are overflowing with Shelties looking for their forever homes. I'm sure this is the case everywhere.
