I don't believe all holistic vets use "somewhat mystical treatment modalities that can't quite actually be explained", just as I don't believe all 'normal' vets are "somewhat disreputable money hungry charlatans"
However, I do believe that the American Veterinarian medical association has a lot to answer for lately when it comes to their stand about not wanting to ban declawing cats and also to advocate much stronger for a ban of cosmetic tail docking and ear cropping, and their stand on raw fed dogs... so unfortunately I don't see eye to eye with them, especially as it appears that they aren't really advocating for what's in the best interest of animals.
So I am glad if they get rattled by informed consumers making their own choices what they are comfortable with their own pets and sometimes also question the status quo. However, by NO means would I vilify Veterinarians as a whole or Individuals, I respect my Vet and my friends who are Vets, especially the ones I have spirited conversations with, lol
