How big is your dog bed?

I bought Emma a bed for Christmas - it is NOT a bed - it is a play toy. She does not sleep on it. I also bought a small fleece blanket (with a Sheltie on it) at a local grocery store, she uses it to eat her cookies on. She sleeps wherever she feels like it, but at night, I get to share "her" bed. Never crated her, she just didn't need it. My bed is high enough that if she wants to get away from everything, she can get under it and with the bedspread down, it is like a cave. I have a couple of old blankets under it that she uses if she feels like it.

btw...how old is Shadow?

Shadow will be 11 in June. Almost two years ago we were asked to foster him. When I picked him up he seemed to have a problem taking a poop. After getting him cleaned out we found out what a wonderful dog he is. After two days we decided not to foster him, we adopted him instead. After a couple weeks we found out what was causing his poop problem and most likely the reason he was turned in. He had a perineal hernia requiring surgery. So far the surgery worked and even though he's a bit over weight, he's still a play machine. Here's his dogster page. http://www.dogster.com/dogs/869569

Ahh Shadow is a handsome guy. I have seen 4 dogs with perineal herinas- 2 of them shelties. Umm. I'm glad the surgery has worked. Hopefully he'll have many more healthy years.:smile2:

I agree with using towels and plush fleece for bedding. Indie's first baby bed was mercilessly destroyed over a few days. Poor beautiful bed .

But I did save the stuffings and have made toys and pillows with it since. Actually, Indie really loves to cuddle with his little pillows come to think of it.

This is too small.....

This is too big......

LOL. Just had to since I noticed I had both on my Facebook.

I'm unsure how big mine are but I like to get them big beds so they can stretch out fully. I have a big round one with and baffle and a square one.

Here is Diva and Justice laying on the square one.

That is the sweetest thing! Have they been together since puppihood?
