How do they know?

I swear they know to. And don't you just love rainy and stormy days of sleeping in.

What's worse than the internal dinner bell?...

The internal breakfast bell--at 6 am!

rain does not mean anything for sleeping in- there's that breakfast bell- unfortunately, Callie's is set for before 6 am :(
she does not enjoy potty in the rain- I usually have to put my coat on and go out with her to be sure that potty actually happens :wink2:

Michele, wait till the lunch bell goes off and you are cutting Trapp's lunch out. MMM sits and STARES:eek2::eek2: at his kibble jar from 12 to 1 EVERYDAY!!!!

You'd think he was being STARVED!

My dogs know the difference between weekends and weekdays. Really! Truly! I think they are extremely sensitive to different things that we do the night before to know that they are supposed to sleep in.

On weekdays, Indy normally starts to roam around the bedroom about 5 minutes before the alarm even goes off. On weekends, he doesn't because he knows there IS no alarm! It's weird!

Meggie definitely has an internal alarm for dinner. She starts whining about 4:30, she eats around 5:00 pm. Breakfast, however, is a different story. Because I work out of the home and do varied shifts taking care of my mom, my sleep pattern is all whacked out. Meggie knows not to wake me up and waits until I'm up before she starts whining for breakfast. Of course, I can't sleep too late, that would be doggie abuse!
