How do you get hair out of a Slicker Brush?

OK, I tried a comb and that seemed to work well, still a few hairs left but mostly all gone.

But now I'm liking PitterPatter's idea of the vacuum cleaner just to see what happens!

Years ago my mum used to hoover the cat when he was moulting!
