How do your Shelties greet other Dogs?

No issues here - mine approach other dogs off leash or on, cautiously and quietly. They are pretty polite about sniffing. Most other dogs have reacted well to them. I would say Meadow is quite confident, of course she hasn't met too many dogs yet, but when she goes out finally walking I think she will have good "dog sense".
 
Most of the dogs we meet are leashed because of bylaws. When Cooper meets or sees another dog coming our way he just sits and waits. lol. He is having an issue right now though because we can’t get to close to his buddy Murphy (human social distancing) and he pulls a bit and whines. Murphy is a 3 year old Bearded Collie and such a sweet boy. This to shall pass.

I know a lot of puppies/young dogs are very submissive when greeting adult dogs, but Kip has never acted that way. He looks really confident, and kind of proud. Like he's greeting a subordinate:) I'm super happy that he has never shown the slightest bit of aggression to any dog, or to any living thing. Kip hasn't had any encounters with aggressive dogs, but of course I'm always super careful about which dogs I let him meet.

So how do your Shelties greet other dogs?

Minnie is friendly when she can meet another dog, sometimes she barks at dogs she can't meet, but it's not an aggressive bark.

Charlie is UBER hyper, jumping, barking, biting at me. Brodie met him as usual but then when Charlie was quite hyper, stayed back a bit but sort of positioned himself at angle in front of my right side but off a bit. For the first time ever, as Charlie, jumped and yapped in his uber excitement over me attempting to pet him, Brodie growled, barked, lunged and put that pup in his place! Like he was reprimanding him! I hope my neighbors did not think Brodie was being mean, not sure he has a mean bone in his body.

Sounds like Charlie may have has lost his puppy license. Deska used to think it was his job to keep the adolescents in line. He'd even sometimes pin down an over-exuberant adolescent (even a large breed). First time I was mortified, then I realised it's a confident adult dog saying - you're not a puppy anymore, pull yourself together and act your age! He never hurt them and the other dog always just licked him and loved him, just did it with less silliness. It was better that an easy going, gentle dog like Deska told them than a dog that wasn't so kind. He only did it with people and dogs we knew and were part of our social group (which used to be quite large ).
