How does your Sheltie sleep?

I don't have any "fun" photos of Miko as he tends to sleep "normally". He likes to lie up against things, so it's typically his donut bed, the couch, or my hubby.

Koji on the other hand is a crazy sleeper. lol. He's on his back a lot like those I've seen here. Rear legs up against the wall, head facing forward or something. lol. He'll also sleep with his head up (my marine friend is very proud/impressed). Lately, hubby has been lying with him on his stomach. Um, Koji is LONG, so head by chin of hubby, but near thigh/knees. Also, since Koji has taken over Miko's spot on the bed (between our pillows) I wake up looking at a cute sheltie face/nose on my pillow about an inch away. I need to sleep with my phone under my pillow so I can get that photo. So cute! He's also slept with his head up against the wall, while on the stairs. I wonder how these dogs don't get kinks in their necks. I know I would.

Here are my photos of my boys (and two puppies are definitely cuter than just one). One is of Koji with his head up sleeping, another is with his head on the pillow, and the last is of him upside down, with Miko nearby in a ball. I have a ton more, but these were the cutest examples.

I couldn't resist taking this pic of Chandler last night buried in my pillows with his little crooked teeth showing. My baby needs braces.:winkgrin:

Here's a picture of Smudge asleep in his crate. I don't think I have a picture of Fluffy asleep.

Evil never sleeps.

I am joking. She does sleep, but by the time I make my way over to her to get a shot she wakes up. :rolleyes2:

That first pictures of Cheryl's reminded that I love when the pups go "on the nods."

Their eyes close but their head is still up.........and then their head slowly bobs down........and then THEIR EYES are OPEN and their head is up and then their eyes are closed and the head bobs down............and then up.............and then slowly down.......UP..........slowly down...............then they flop out on their side and are soundly asleep!:sleepy::sleepy:

I wish I could be that relaxed and carefree!

Yes!!! I love this too! Only happens to Bentley. Happens all the time. He often tucks his chin into his ruff and I say he looks like a hen :)

I can't seem to catch Vash asleep, the moment he hears me move for a camera or anything else he'll get up and about.

Typically Vash sleeps on his side paws straight out.

There have been a few times when he's changed this sleeping method and given me a scare. One night I forgot to take his collar off before putting him in his crate. I woke up in the middle of the night remembered, so i rolled over to his crate. He was upside down, paws were sticking out the side of the crate and they were stiff as a board. I thought "Oh my god I just killed my puppy!", and turned on the light. The moment I did he rolled over and had a good "Gotcha!" laugh.

The other good one was after a long day at day camp. I brought him home, he went to sleep under the dining room table. He was apparenly fully asleep though his eyes were open, and he was dreaming of fighting something in his sleep. His lip would curl back, he'd show his teeth, and his eyes were open so I was wondering exactly what happened to him at day camp or slightly concerned that he'd picked up some bad behavior from another dog. I poked him to knock him out of what ever state he was in because I didn't really like it. He stood up looked over at me, licked me then walked off like nothing happened. A few moments later he was back asleep and doing the same thing.

And I like when he sleeps tightly in a ball with his tail over his nose. I always cover him up when he does this and then I love to watch him as he gets warm and stretches out beneath the cover. But he will stay under it because he knows he will get cold again.

LOL. How I miss those days (kinda, sorta, maybe not). Koji was like a child, would fuss and then whomp, out cold. But the puppy bob, too cute. FYI, amazingly, Koji doesn't do the "bob" when he falls asleep like that. He just closes his eyes (eventually) and his head stays up. He'll stay like that for a few mins then either wake up (sorta) or put his head down and go to sleep.

I am sooo loving all these photos.
