How long do your seniors sleep?

He has a nice one in the living room, but if he is there he sleeps on my feet!
It could be the fan....
And he probably sleeps less at night (he has to if he is up and down on my bed 4-5 times!)

Gavin is always up for a walk, and can be pretty peppy at times. I wonder how much loosing his hearing affected his sleeping habits.
Since his mobility issues started around the same time it is hard to tell. Just before, I had a houseguest for a month and Gavin was awake and active for at least 8 hours a day.
I do know exercise means he will sleep more than if he wasn't working hard. A 2 hour trip to the beach means he will sleep for 2 days.
Sandstorm would sleep a lot if it wasn't for Minnie! Lol! He's ten, before we got her he slept a lot, but would go out for walks willingly and seemed to enjoy them. He naps lightly, all we have to do is say his name, he'll sit up

My Cody is 14 and he probably sleeps at least 20 hours a day too. He sleeps very soundly - sometimes I have to look to see if he is still breathing. He is pretty active for a couple of hours a day after eating. He plays with Jesse (18 month old sheltie) and chews on a nylabone for a while, but mostly he just chills out. I figure 14 is like 98 years old in human years and old people sleep alot too, so I don't worry about it and let him sleep. He still gets excited for meals - been eating the same food for 13 years and still gets excited, and he is foolproof on pottying.
