I did not know about the Amazon part! I shop there all the time

I have a question about the Amazon credit. Do you get a credit for people just entering the Amazon site from the link here (i.e. just clicking on the link results in some small credit), or does the credit only apply if the person actually buys something from Amazon after entering the site from here? I'm on Amazon all the time pricing things and I wanted to know if I should do the pricing searches from here, or if it only matters when I'm actually going to buy.


Update: OK, I looked it up, and the credit applies only as a percentage of what someone actually buys during the Amazon session started from the link here. The payment can range from as little as 1% for things like video games, to as much as 10% for Amazon branded clothes and shoes (apparently clothes and shoes have a much bigger markup associated with them than electronics).

From now on I'll do my buying from the link here. Unfortunately most of the stuff I buy is computer related, meaning that it's only going to generate 2-2.5%, but I did see that pet supplies generate 8% and I do buy Devon's dog food from Amazon, so I'll definitely start doing that from here.
