How would you make AKC Obedience a better sport?

How do you feel about the Grad Novice and Grad Open classes? Would you do these with an experienced dog?

I told my training buddy that I wouldn't go backwards with a dog who can do the complete exercise, unless maybe there was a problem, but for a dog in the learning phases that are used to the lessened criteria, it would be fine to test them. ?

I know someone who did these new classes after having competed in the regular classes. The dog was a little confused by the differences but I think they did ok. we'll probably try the beginner novice class at some time down the road- see if Callie is willing to play in the obedience ring :winkgrin:
