I found another Sheltie in the house today

That's true. I know some people who make jumpers out of it. Apparently it's very warm and suitable for long cold winter:wink2:

Really? I've joked about saving grooming "left-overs", having it spun into yarn, and then knitting into cat sweaters

Haha looks like my in-laws house! Right now we have 4 dogs and 1 cat, with hardwood floors. Yup, dog hair everywhere with a little cat hair in the mix (GA heat in the summer, they shed a lot!). I pick up enough hair to make another small dog with it all lol.

I thought the same thing after Koji got a bath (warm water loosens hair) and I finally brushed him thoroughly. I said to myself, "see, we have 3 shelties, no need for another". LOL.

Oh, and I AM going to turn mine into yarn and make a scarf....one day. 10oz is a LOT of fur. I wanted to do it with Miko, but he's not shedding much anymore.

Wow! That is a LOT of hair. And a LOT of grooming, but the after picture of your three is great. They look so nice. Good job!

A couple months ago, we were grooming our 2 on the patio and left some tufts of fur stuck to the grass. The next morning when I let them outside, I saw 4 birds on the patio with beaks full of sheltie hair. Nice to think of some little baby birdies with sheltie feathered nests. :biggrin2:

I always put my dog's hair out for the birds. We find birds nests in the fall all furlined. So cute.

One year, apparently I did not put enough hair out for them and they decided to help themselves.

My poor old man Cedar....he was supposed to be a bird dog. Apparently, not :rolleyes2:
