I love my Sheltie Because....

Hollie for her unconditional love. She was always beyond happy when we would come home. She was definitely our heart dog.

Shelby for teaching us not to take life so seriously. She is such a happy dog and always has a big smile on her face. Even when you are mad at her she has a smile like she is telling us to get over. Everything is life is a fun game. I love the way she reads everyone's emotions and resoonds appropriately. She knows which residents in the nursing home need some extra Shelby time and will give them extra attention. If you are sad she will just sit in your arms consoling you.

They are such smart, loving pets. So very attentive to everything. I could not imagine life without them..

I have to share a story about Brodie. One time, I asked him, "Brodie, why do I love you?" He jumped up and licked my face. I started to laugh and said, "OK. But why do you love me?" He pulled back, looked at my face then jumped down and brought me a tennis ball.

That is fantastic!

And I love being able to holler out, "Annabelle Lee Puddin Puppy for ME!" And having her come running, jump on my lap and kiss all over my face.

Miley...Her soulful eyes. She saw right through me when I thought I didn't even like dogs, let alone WANT one. What a difference she made in my heart. I loved that she absolutely loved to trick or treat. She stuck her nose in the bag of every small kid that passed, not to steal, just take a peek  She loved Frisbee and I loved to play it with her. I can't see a Frisbee without crying to this day.She taught me about the love between humans and dogs that I never knew existed.

Bella...she is so lovable, cuddly. Helped heal my broken heart after Miley.Truly MY dog. I love that she sleeps tight against my leg everynight. That she cocks her head and listens when I speak. She is mischievous and silly. I love her swishy tail and wiggle butt when she walks.

So happy to be a Sheltie Mom

I love the swishy tail and wiggle butt, too! It is sooo cute. I am sorry for the loss of your Miley. I understand what it is like to have that soul connection with a dog. I had a border collie/blue heeler mix that was my shadow that I raised from a puppy. Unfortunately, I had to give him up during a painful divorce. He went to live with a good family, but I still miss him to this day. Sarah is starting to heal that place in my heart that Roscoe left, which I didn't think could happen.
