Ahh..not so well
I purchased this for a dog, and I found it did absolutely nothing. Dog was bathed in Black on Black exclusively for the time he was here, and his backside,& tail still turned rusty, for me it was a bust purchase.
My dogs, as most likely yours, are not out in sun in heat of the day, mine are only out early mornings, late evenings when the yard is totally shaded.
Potty times very quick..in & out. But still turned rusty.
Now looking in hindsight, I do believe it was hereditary.

I stopped using it mostly. When I do, I use it watered down by half. I found it was leaving a sticky residue. Same with the CCleave in Shampoo

I love it. Use it everytime I brush the dogs--even if it's just a quick fluff. Doesn't leave a residue on my guys.

If your dogs don't swim or play in water, you don't need to use it very often. You can just spray it in after a bath and re-apply maybe every couple weeks or less. If you notice their coats getting sticky, back off.
