Well it's WORKING!!!
I'm so happy. No he's not done yet, but I have gone over one side completely and need to do the other side and his ruff yet. Tomorrow he will get a respite as I have nosework class tomorrow.

Mane and Tail is great stuff. They even sell it now in drugstores for people.
The best by far product I ever found for mats is another horse product called Cowboy Magic. You put a tiny bit in your hand (it's a light oil) and rub it in the coat and tangles just fall out. It also leaves an incredible sheen on the coat. Used to use it all the time on my horses' tails.

Most of the time I have Zak laying on the bed while I brush him. It is easier on my back and he just so relaxed when I brush him. I do sometimes get the grooming table out especially if I need to trim his back legs.
I leave the ears to my friend Irene, she shows Shelties so she doe his ears everynow and then for me- I am to afraid to do them.
I have started laying Zoey down to brush her. She gets so excited/happy when I get the brush out.
