Aren't prices ridiculous !! When I had the problems sith Kia finding out what was wrong the price just kept climbing. I asked the vet if I could please pay Monthly because I'm on a fixed income. The vet will sometimes work with you. Best of luck and Hope all turns out well for Bacca.
As follow up....
The boys both had their annual check up at the vet yesterday. I reminded the vet about Bacca's issue and commented that he still seems very sensitive about having is mouth/jaw touched.
At this point, we can't be sure whether or not he's reacting because of his past experience or whether or not there is still some residual issue going on that he's hiding pretty well.
So, I now have an $800 quote on my desk for:
1) Sedation so that they can do a full examination - that's $200
2) Full anesthetic if they find something that needs to be dealt with (e.g. tooth extraction) - $600
Yipes!
All to say, that apparently, this story is not yet closed.
Of course, I will proceed with the next step. That's a no-brainer! But jeez - I sure wish I'd become either an orthodontist or a vet when I was making my career choices 25 years ago!
