I'm in HEAVEN!

We are dog sitting for 2 shelties. So, at the moment, we have 6 shelties. 6 shelties and their sheltie smiles running like heathens all over. 6 shelties in bed with us. 6 shelties wanting to be fed all of the time. It's just delightful. :gaah

OK- Sherman and Katie are related to our dogs. Same father as Cooper and Tara is their mom. But they are so different. Sherman is overly sensitive. Katie misses her real humans. Their humans are retired, so they don't understand why this annoying beeping keeps happening while it is still dark outside. And Katie absolutely DOES not understand the wonderfulness that is a snooze button. So, this morning, when the alarm went off, I hit the snooze (like any normal person on a MONDAY). And Katie started barking in my ear. So, no sleeping in for me. Katie also tells a story when she comes in from her last walk at night. No idea what she's telling us, but I'm going to go with "Bedtime Story".

Sherman is just a love. He is not food motivated. He'll just let any dog steal anything food related from him. And he just looks at you with these sad eyes as it's happening. So we are trying to make sure it doesn't happen. Because- sheltie Sad Eyes.

So, in other words, we are doing our best to spoil them like they would be spoiled at home. Hopefully, we are doing okay.

Cooper LOVES having another boy to play with. Annabelle could care less. Tara and Katie are playing. And Clarabelle just wants the interlopers out of her house, so she can declare her ownership of my DH again, and not have any interference in their love affair.

Aww those sound like some wonderful visitors! I can't imagine how amazing it must feel to go to sleep under a full sheltie blanket each night.

This really made me smile. Sounds like a 3 ring circus, but in a good way!! We just met a new Sheltie in town who is related to Faith some generations back. He is a retired show dog. Just a really handsome guy and a real sweetie. We're going to do a Sheltie playdate soon with him and one other male Sheltie we know. It's my idea of heaven, too - the more Shelties the better!!!

As someone who lives with 6 Shelties every day, from 10 months to 10 years of age, I can relate. It's fun, crazy, hectic, noisy, slurpy, waggy and wonderful!

Perhaps when your visitors leave, you may have to get a few more potato chips....err, Shelties!

How beautiful they all are! I only have three. Now I'm jealous.

No more potato chips! I feel adding would stretch the economic aspect too far. I must be a responsible grown up. (You have to remember, we have several cats who also need us to fund them.) And Cooper and Katie are almost identical. Katie was telling us something Saturday night and DH looked at me and said, "I honestly can't tell who that is." I laughed and called for Cooper who ran in from the kitchen, so that was Katie.

I wish I spoke Katie, because I'm sure her stories are amusing. And she tells them for a good couple of minutes after she gets her last walkie of the evening.

ahhh a houseful of shelties, what a riot...and I love that you have the storyteller, so precious. What would her voice be if she could talk?

I dream of adding to my pack, just doesn't seem feasible yet...growl

Probably Donkey from Shrek. It's early and I can't think of any other character that talks a lot.
