I'm Not Always Notified Of New Posts or Threads

Usually when there's a new post or thread on the forums the "Forum Contains New Posts" icon on the left side of the screen (the box with the note in it turns orange) appears beside the Forum that the post/thread was created in.

This doesn't always happen for some reason and I often miss new threads if I don't look for them diligently. Any idea why this is?

This happens on both my home and work computer.

Hey Ontario, I found that I was missing new threads too. You want to know what I do now? I click on the new posts up in the blue bar everytime I log in. That way anything that has been updated or just created I see right away. Try that. Maybe it will help. Have a good day!

I'm logged in all of the time!

I'll give it a try but I'm not sure that it will make a difference...Thanks for the suggestion!

I use the New Posts bar as well.

If I've been on for awhile, I'll exit and then go back in to see what else came in while I was online. I expect there is possibly a "refresh" button, but this works for me just fine!

This can happen if you are already visiting the forum & someone posts while you are at this website. If you are logged in all the time, your computer won't update your screen.

I don't know if hitting refresh will work...as I haven't tried that.

As the site becomes more active, you may want to subscribe to threads that interest you, or as others have mentioned, you can click on the new posts tab.
