I'm Sorry....

Tears reading these posts.

When my Joy goes, I know I will never be the same. Life will go on, but their will always be a space that only she could fill. The other dogs all own a piece of my heart, but Joy is truly my "heart" dog. She understands me, I understand her.

The love of a dog & it's companion is a truly special thing. We are all so lucky to have these special relationships in our lives.

LOVE this forum!

This makes me so sad. I don't know what I would do if and when Beau needs to go. He's my one an only and I'm quite sure there will be no other like him.

I miss my Copper "Bear" every single day. I am not the same and never will be. But I would not give up the memories of a single day that I had with him. My life would never have been the same if I never found him!!! It wa 13 happy years... Even through illness and all. He is my heart. My Timmy pup isn't the same w/out his Bear, either. But we'll be ok, somehow, someday. If I didn't have a Sheltie -- or several -- I would go nuts!!! Thankfully, I have 3, and 2 fosters are coming soon!!

My Pavi passed over the Rainbow Bridge two days before Xmas last year. I still can't clean his 'nose art' off the door, or the windows, and every day Olive, our 7 month old tri, finds an old toy of his he had misplaced under some piece of furniture. It always brings me to tears. It's good to grieve. It means whomever has left you was loved, and made a mark on your heart. My Olive helps fill that hole in my heart, and I hope you find someone to do the same for you. :hugs

I cam across your post and this brought a tear, yet it made me smile. I cannot clean the "nose art" from the doors that Chris made. I think I'll keep it here and even paint around it. I love your saying "nose art!" It fits perfectly. Thanks for the smile!

Anyone who has ever loved a pet & had to let them go knows how you feel.Words can't begin to say what's in our hearts. The last of my original 3 rescue shelties passed away last year & it broke my heart. Every night when I walk London & Bailey I look up to see the stars. I find the brightest ones & talk to Annie, Hershey & Lassie. I tell them I miss them & ask them to look for Maggie who is also up there waiting for me. People might think it "nuts" but it comforts me to think one day I will be mobbed by the wonderful furry friends that have gone before me. It's sad to say but there are only a few people that I would miss as much as I do my Rainbow Bridge angels. Never be sorry for how you feel.
