Indie has left us

I am so sorry-you have my sympathy-been there and it hurts so much. Our sweet, little pups leave such a big hole when they are gone. Praying there is another sheltie that will claim your heart when you are ready.
 
Like everyone else here, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how hard this must be for you. My 4 1/2 yr old Trace stopped wanting to eat on 1/17. After several vet & specialist visits, ultrasounds etc. he passed away in my arms 9 days later. That totally ripped a hole in my heart. I cannot imagine losing one as quickly as you did.

I can tell you that the pain does eventually lessen. We brought a new pup home in July and he has brought laughter back into our lives. I still find myself crying for Trace, and probably always will.

I know my boy Trace was one of the first to welcome your Indie to his new home!

I'm sharing your pain. It will be 2 weeks Monday since April left me. I didn't expect it, and didn't get to say goodbye. It's been a hard time.

Shelties get in our hearts and under our skin in ways that defy explanation. When they depart it just leaves gapping holes that do take time to heal. Blessings on you and your family!!!!

I lost my girl of 17 yrs 1-29, it still hurts deeply as she was SO precious. Getting Kaleigh and Savannah has eased the pain. Nothing replaces those you have lost, but having my girls to love does help. Wishing you another sheltie angel in your life soon!
 
So sorry to hear of your loss. They take up a huge chunk of our hearts and leave a huge hole when they go. Hugs. Hang on to those memories.
 
We had to put down Chelsea the end of July. I miss her terribly and the grief is still with us. I am very sorry for your loss. Given your account it sounds as though you loved him deeply and that is good. We remember the good memories and the gentle cheek scritches even still.
