Interceptor

Again, I can't thank you guys enough! I though it might be the Frontline too. I guess there's no other way to put it, but Frontline is poison. I'll have to try that Sargent's stuff. Hopefully it works because I live in a high tick area.

She's not drastically different, just little subtle things I notice. She did end up eating today. Her energy is a bit better too. I have to take her temp, I'm not sure. I'll keep you guys updated.

I also live in a very highly infested area for Ticks due to all the wildlife around. I treat my yard every Spring and Summer right before a rainstorm is coming. It kills all the fleas, ticks and other insects. I have had fantastic luck doing this wherever I have lived. The only thing I do is treat half the yard first. Then use the other untreated half for the dog until the rain soaks in the treated part. Then reverse the technique. I have done this since my first Dog Tasha got a tick on her and that was the end of that. Have never had a tick since. I'm having a senior moment for the name of the stuff. It's in a big red bag and it shows that its to treat yard for fleas, ticks, slugs, deer ticks etc, Orthro Max, just came to me.
 
Interesting to know that Frontline can do that. Since Sadie and I do some hiking now, it's what my vet recommended. She feels that it's the most mild of all of the chemical combo flea/tick medication.

Although Sadie wasn't too thrilled with the smell for the first 4-5 days, she seems to otherwise be doing very well on the natural Sergent's Nature's Guardian flea/tick meds. No fleas or ticks. My friend's pug has picked up a few ticks on hikes that we were also on this week but Sadie remains flea and tick free.

I'm going to give Sadie her second dose of Nature's Guardian this weekend and hope that it goes more smoothly than the first time.
 
I'm so glad to hear that your pup is improving, Esmiles! There's nothing worse than knowing they aren't well and not knowing why. And why oh why does this stuff always happen on weekends?! Especially holiday weekends!!

I'm giving dose three of the Sergeant's today, Ontario. So far Pixie has done wonderfully well on it with no fleas or ticks, and we live in a very high tick area. I'm very pleased with it. My vet told me too that Frontline was the most benign of all the chemical products, but Pixie still had seizures on it. I'm much happier with this solution. I hope Sadies tolerates it better this round!
