introduction and a question...

Hello Squirt!

Us humans have an awful time picking names! It just like naming children, except we normally get 9 months to weigh the options! And even then we change our minds (when my daughter was born, we named her Jocelyn. My Mom sent a telegram to my dad who was in Moscow at the time with - then we changed our minds two days later, and named her Michelle instead).

Tell your parents not to be in a hurry to name you. They should spend a few days getting to know you. You can tell them also that there are lots of websites that list great dog names. If they are into fantasy, celtic, movies, whatever.

Bacca did not have a name for a few days. Then my son dubbed him Chewbacca (he was pretty chewy at the time). We later shortened it to Chewy, then Bacca. Bacchus being the Greek God of "excessiveness". The state of Bachius (sp?) being a state of absolute frenzy. Yep, that's a Sheltie. So Bacca stuck.

Hrmm the last few pictures all manage to catch the pup with his/her tongue hanging out. "Pttttttttt" would be a fun name  but I am just being silly.

I'd say hang out with your owners for a few days. Then I'm sure they'll be able to find a name that fits your personality and attitude.

Well, Little Bit - you really are a cutie. Tell your mommy to look at what a name means. That's what I did when I named my puppies - found a name, checked out the meaning and if it fit the puppy, that what they got named.

Don't worry - they'll find a really good name for you soon.

What a cutie. The right name will come. Just be careful they tend to live up to their names.:smile2:

OMG, this is so true. We named our Barkley before he even came home and he lives up to his name every second of the day. BARKBARKBARKBARKBARK..... :uhoh:

They do live up to their names. Noah means comfort and that it what he was. Emma means healer and that she is.

Oh, there really should be warnings on threads containing puppy pictures!!! They make me melt everytime and yearn for a little puppy breath baby in my house too!

I think you deserve your own name!! Hopefully Mom will come up with one that's perfect just for you!!!

I had more trouble picking the names for the puppies than for my daughter:lol:

They do live up to their names, Revel's kennel name is Dream Lover and he sure thinks he is:rolleyes2:

Yogi's is Wildest Dreams and he is a nutter! Had he been a sucessful daddy (wasn't interested) I was going to call one of his offspring One Wild Night (I am so glad I DIDN'T use that one - don't think it would ever have slept:lol:)

Gorgeous puppy, your right name will find you!
