Is Frontline no good for Shelties???

For those not in on this little inside joke, nux vomica is strychnine, the deadly poison.

OK, that was the only one I could remember, I failed to realize it was actually a poison derivative (or maybe the poison itself?) Whoops. : )

I hear rumors of Poodle handlers who use Arsenic to grow coat. I'm not sure how that works, exactly, but I'm sure it's not good.

On a more personal note, as it is difficult to pick up 'tone' on message boards, let me mention that while Rachael and I often represent opposing viewpoints, lest anyone think there is any personal 'feud' I do appreciate her posts, input, and measured tone.
Discussions such as this on, say, the Lab Chat or other boards tend to be far less civil. -Dr. Mac

Well, I'm going to frame this post from Dr. Mac! I think "measured tone" is not something that has ever been applied to me. My mother frequently tells me to shut up, while my dad just sits there with a grin (I am his kid, no question).

I agree about other boards, there are some rabid, nasty people that can't possibly see any "truth" but their own. And they rail against anyone who dares speak against them. Opposing viewpoints are a good thing, it makes people think. :smile2:

Oops, I guess I didn't read the description thoroughly. Missed the "toxic if swallowed". Flunked the quiz, oh no!

Actually DING DING DING DING!!
You are correct.
This is the MSDS label for aspirin. Google it and see.

That was my point. MSDS info, like the precautions on the info leaflets inside medications, are in 'legalese'. And like most things relating to our legal system and lawsuit avoidance they bear little relation to reality. So quoting them as 'proof' that a medication is dangerous is often overly alarmist.
(One wonders- if you can't take aspirin orally, how should you take it?:eek2:)

I think this is one of the reaons I love this forum so much....opposing viewpoints, but no one takes them personally. Opposing viewpoints just allow us to learn more.

Thanks guys....:biggrin2:

Medicine warnings are the absolute best case guess they can come up with to reduce liability IMO

Though I only use natural products on Sca. I coat him in Peanut Butter and it is guaranteed that he will lick any flea present on him while they are stuck in the peanut butter (for the humor impaired I am joking )
