Is my husband nuts, or does anybody else do this too?

I sing to Lucien when he is nervous, in your typical baby voice, making up the lyrics as I go. I don't know if he likes it but last time at the vet he almost fell asleep in my arms :)

(and for a non cuddler, that's a lot to say!)

I sing, "you've got the cutest little baby face" to MMM especially after I trim his whiskers, because he looks like a puppy again.

Don't you all agree, that Shelties have just the cutest little puppy face, no matter how old they get?

By the way, I prefer to call it "serenading" my little boy and girl.

They are shelties after all. When I can't be down there ruffling up their fur or playing ball or tug, I need to pour attention on them somehow or else they might think I don't love them anymore. :D

My brother just made one up for Treader to the tune of "First Date" from a cartoon we have on DVD. Except his version goes "You're a boo face!..." He hasn't figured out the rest yet, though.

Clancy was named for the Clancy Lowered the Boom song so occasionally I tortu..I mean, serenade him with a verse or two...I try not to do it when there might be anyone nearby, on compassionate grounds.

Mikki gets the Mickey Mouse theme song. She's deaf now so it has no effect on her but I used to use it to get her all revved up before trialling :smile2:

And Dreamer, my ol' guy (now departed), had to endure the strains of Supertramps "Dreamer...nothing but a Dreamer..." Very accurate for him too...

I haven't got a song for Duffy yet so if anyone knows any good Duffy songs, let me know :smile2:
