Is your sheltie a lap dog?

I dont know the lbs conversion but Jake is about 6 kg and he loves his cuddles.
From day 1, every night I carry him up the stairs to bed as I dont want him damaging his growing bones by climbing the stairs, so he is very used to being picked up and usually rests his head on my shoulder in between giving 'kisses'.
He will sit on your lap until he gets too hot, otherwise he is a little lap dog yep

Two of my three are lap dogs. Kadin would spend his whole life on my lap if I allowed it. Lacey-Lou is forever jumping on my lap whether I invited her or not. She only weights 8 pounds so it's not a shattering revelation but I can't afford to drop her ever or she'll never feel comfortable jumping up to me again. Brandi has such a profuse coat that she over heats too quickly to be comfortable as a lap dog. She prefers to lie by my feed on the cool hardwood floors of the house.

neither of mine are lap dogs. And they do not like cuddling, or too much petting. Ruckus will lay beside me, but if i even touch him once to pet him he will get up! he will even get up if i make the slightest movement, or if i am talking!
