is your sheltie from a breeder?

Breeders

Shadow is from a breeder. Asharon Shelties in Salem Ct.Shadow is to big for the breed ring. Anyone here that bought from a breeder have to sign a contract when you got your bundle of joy? I had to sign one have him neutuered to get his papers.I will be getting my next one from her also.

yes I signed one with skyler (pet contract) saying I would get him neutered and one with belle (show contract) saying I would breed her and give the breeder first pic of pup

The contract said a lot about our breeder. It not only stated that it was a non-breeding contract and that we were required to have Sadie spayed, but it also stated that Sadie never be sold or given away (within reason, for example if we died or for some reason couldn't have her anymore we would be able to give her to someone we trust, just not give her away or sell her to a stranger) and that she never be placed in a shelter. That if anything should happen that Sadie would go back to live with her.

I really love that she looks out for the pups she sells to this extent. It not only shows me that she doesn't breed for money but it also gives me peace of mind knowing that if something happened to my husband or I that there's definitely someone to look after our baby :smile2:

I have exactly the same contract with my breeder. And she emails me regularly to get updates on how things are going. She breeds for show primarily and Bacca was likely going to be a little oversized and also had an undescended testicle (so much for his show career). Yes, I paid alot for Bacca but I truly believe it was money well-spent. The pre and post sales support has been terrific!
