What should I ask my vet to examine / have tests done
when Minnie should have her vaccine next time.
I second Sharon's sentiment on your English, Hanne! It's better than many English-speaking people I know!
Definitely ask for a gallbladder ultrasound by age 6 or 7 to check for the amount of sludge or possible mucoceles in the gallbladder, as Sharon said. I have mine screened once a year or more often after age 6 as needed for that since both Checkers and Lacey have had to have their gallbladders removed.
GBM (Gallbladder mucocoles) is prevalent in our breed and can be quick and fatal if it's not detected. Ruffles is also on medication for it but as yet doesn't need surgery. Barkley did too but was able to be controled with the medication.
