Just when I thought Pico missed the teenage tantrum months....

Sounds like everything is back to normal for Pico!
Blueberry hates everything I do to her from the brushing (growls at me) to the dremel (tries to lick the spinning disc) to the bathing. She’s very suspicious of everything I do, even if it’s to come get a cookie especially when we’re upstairs (where all the bad stuff happens :ROFLMAO:).
Strangest dog I’ve ever owned but also the smartest!
Piper I can always convince all is good just by giving him a cookie  and Finnie plays dumb until the threat of doing nails is right in front of him :ROFLMAO:.

How is Blueberry around strangers- reserved or cautious or friendly? All of my dogs have hated the dremel- i just went back to clipping with treats. My current male hates having his feet touched and really hates having his claws clipped but he is a good boy and with some discussion he turns his head and tolerates it cause he knows the treats will follow. Both of mine fight each other for the brushing - we use a pin brush- they both love it or at least seem to. We get out so much fur I can't imagine they don't feel better afterwards..of course we tell them how pretty they look afterward and we know how much Shelties love a compliment....they even stand still while we shave a poppy chute but of course there are treats afterwards..hmmmm treats afterwards seems to be a common thing...

Pico tolerate the dremel...
I hold him on my lap like a baby, and do one nail at a time.
He gets lots of kisses and snuggles LOL. Even so, he lets me know when its too much.

Toothbrush he comes to me when he sees the brush and toothpaste.
He will turn around for me to get both sides, and then waits for his treat.

Regular brush, not so much.
Not a fan.
I get in a few swipes here and there LOL
He does let me do the behind the ear area that mats, but that is his limit for good behavior.

Blueberry loves everyone…she’s like a Princess who thinks they all have come to pay attention to her! She’s all paws flailing…pat me, pat me!!! Me me me…
As you can see in the photo she demands attention! (My brother in law)

I hold mine similarly. Although it’s harder to do with Finnie as he’s much bigger. I find the angle helps keep the dremel from jumping against the nail.

I use one of the shielded ones, cause otherwise his fur gets all tangled.
which reminds me, I need to trim his paw furs tonite.
I spread it out, no dedicated spa day for Pico!

Although, he lets me wash him so nicely. Never a grumble from him, and he loves the towel :)

I used to use a dremel. how do you keep it from getting the claw too hot, the noise the vibration..and yes the occasional fur grab. Now is just use a really good sharp set of cutters-- my female is OK lets get this over with but the male is now way Jose...he is a one claw at a timer...
