Kidney Food Recommendations?

What is the purpose of using it with an egg as a meal?

The egg provides all the protein and calories he needs, the k-cal provides the nutrients missing from the egg. They have diets on their site, and I spent a LONG time on the phone with them and I had them send them to me but a tad more involved than I want to get at this point. He went into figuring out what Kooper is getting nutrient and calorie wise right now, with his food and treats and supplements and then gave me way too much info to process but the thing that stuck was with kidneys you want stuff that is easily digestible and the egg, along with the k-cal is easily digestible and hits everything - except Koopers need to feel like he has eaten alot. :) I am starting small and will work my way up with changes as he needs it. For the time being, he did not show anything in his urine, it was in his blood test and is supposedly a really, really early sign of kidney issues beginning so my hope is to slow that progression. His SDMA tested out at 20 where normal range is considered 0 - 14. All his other blood-work was excellent as was the follow up urine test. So with Kooper, it is a really early sign of kidney function digression and I am hoping the changes will help. We will rerun both tests in 6 months and if I need to make additional changes then I will.
