"Lab" Test for Layla was Positive

Remember the old joke about bringing the deceased hamster into the back of the vet's office, letting the dog and cat sniff it, and saying, "Yes, it's definitely gone. We did a lab test and a cat scan."?

Well, Beckon runs all our "lab tests" for UTIs on the girls. So far, he's been so perfect that our wonderful vet accepts Beckon's diagnosis and provides Clavimox with no other tests. Yesterday he started whining, sniffing Layla, "tasting" and running all around her. Yep, she's starting Clavimox today! Good Colonel Underpants, helping us save money on vet appointments!

Good boy Beckon! Not surprising I guess when you consider how the UTI changes the door of the urine but I'm sure most dogs wouldn't give any indication of anything. My last girl would get UTI's constantly (I swear it was from the steroids) and my other dog didn't let me know (of course it's possible I wasn't 'listening' to him.)
Fantastic too that your vet accepts the Beckon smell test, probably more accurate than a urinalysis!
