Layla Approves!

Since I retired a month ago, Layla has been so happy! She follows me everywhere, curls up with me in the morning to sleep in, and has become so affectionate! The couple of days I was gone with houseguests, she was quite upset -- I think she was afraid I had gone back to work again. It's as if she's saying, "Mamma, we're finally together all the time, just like I dreamed."

Me, too, Principessa. Me, too.

that is so sweet. Your sidekick is now full-time with you, and she loves it! I bet she loves having you with her all the time instead of leaving most of the day. Now you can have new daytime routines, too. Like lunch, napping, extra walkies, tea & then maybe another walk. You know, for you heart health. And Layla's, too :biggrin2:. Enjoy, I'm a little jealous, would love to be home more, even part-time would be nice.

I got my 2 year old, Sir Dash, after I retired. He knows no different than me being home. However, he does have separation anxiety when I leave the house. He is the most loving furbaby and is with me at all times in the house.

Aww, you are so very lucky to have Layla around to help you through the agony of retirement...you lucky , lucky dog.
