Leg Shaking

I have noticed, when taking 5-year-old Ida on longer walks - 6 blocks up, once around the park, and 6 blocks back - that Ida's right front leg will start to shake. She enjoys these walks a lot, is in good general health, and does not lag behind or limp. But this leg shaking is something I've never seen before. Do you think I'm overdoing it with her? We do not take long walks when it is hot and humid.

Our Kinnon (13 year old collie boy) does this leg shaking on longer walks...front leg only just like your Ida. Although Kinnon has arthritis, it is his hips that are effected, not his front legs. I do limit his walks to under a mile on hot humid days and we take several rest stops in shady areas...but he loves his walks and our vet can find no reason not to continue them. I don't know why this shaking occurs...some kind of muscle spasms maybe?
