Let's compare average speeds

These venues are confusing for me, never really know what you mean
I guess I can only add that my sheltie has average speed as follows
jumping - 4,80m/s
agility open - 4,60m/s
exams - something in between
depends on how many faults do we make ....we still don't have many clear runs, have been to 5 competitions so far

so I will add face's times:

jumping - 5,5 m/s (our best was 5,96 m/s still work on the 6 m/s *lol*)
agility run - 4.7 m/s (our best was 5,05 m/s)

And for us American's with the crazy system.....
jumping - 5.25yps
agility open - 5.03 yps

Wow, that's fast!! I know, we have funny venues, but so do you ;P. That's why I wrote for you international people to just go off of what you run. Sounds like you guys are doing well!

Having no idea how far any of the courses we've run are I can't comment in m/s or yps.

They don't tend to work out that sort of thing at the KC competitions I've been to, I think it'd be interesting to know though. I might get funny looks measuring the dogs line around the course with a measuring wheel!!

HA! You have a point, it's hard to tell what's good "speed" since we don't have the actual lenght and difficulty of each course. I guess it's different for every country, every competition, every judge.... Though, we can read the lenght of a course on paper, I just never thought about writing it down, lol
