Lighter Fluid

A million years ago we painted our house interior (white paint). I dripped a drop on the carpet and for some unknown reason used Simple Solution. It made the spot vanish!

Just thought I would mention since maybe that would be a good enzymic thing on the carpet with lighter fluid. ???

As for the FIL, I feel your pain. I was married for over 15 years to my husband, and until the day he passed away, my FIL introduced me as "his son's FIRST wife". In-laws . . . you gotta love em! NOT!!! :gaah

We actually use white vinegar to clean up when Fasb gets sick or we spill something. There were a lot of better ways top clean up the mess.

Wife is angry at me, though we don't get along well these days and are sleeping in separate rooms (heat incompatibility. She doesn't even want the overhead fan on at night much less the central air, I sleep with a window AC blasting), so this is less of a problem than it should be.

Fasb seems fine. We've scrubbed the spots several times with water and other things, so his exposure to the lighter fluid should be very minimal.

This prompted me to look up lighter fluid as a cleaner. I can't find any references to any residue being poisonous. It would seem if it comes in direct contact with skin or inhaling the fumes is the problem.
