We were asked today if Lacey is a miniature collie. typical question these days.
She was the tiny one in the litter and was a huge 2.5 lbs at 8 weeks when I brought her home. She is fine boned and that makes her look smaller than she is.
She is just under 14" and my vet said she was 19lbs, but I think they must have had problems weighing her. She weighed 17lbs 2 months ago and she has not gained anything. Unless she has put on lbs of muscle. I can feel her ribs and she has a good waist. I'm going to assume the scale was off for some reason. i put her on my scale and it showed about 16lbs. I'm pretty sure that is off too since it's hard to weight a dog on a little square people scale.

I think they are almost identical in height, but here's the odd thing. I think Epic looks small, but Angus does not. Both have big coats and are built the same. Musing on this the other day I decided it was to do with their head carriage. Angus holds his head much higher than Epic, although they both have good length necks. Angus also has longer hocks which make his legs look longer.
