Logan's Thyroid Test

Logan got tested today for his Thyroid as the vet updated his dosages.

He is on 0.3 mg 2x a day

His T4 reading came back at 3.5 the vet told me to retest in two months to maybe lower the dose.

My thought is he seems better. He is more animated when not sleeping! He did lose 2lbs in the three months that he has been on the new dose.

Thoughts???
 
Lil' Lady is on the same. This thyroid business is so annoying. I have to take her back for a check
when she finishes her pills. Hopefully the levels are lower. Lil' Lady is 12 so I so worry about her,
love this little girl.
 
It's important for vets to know that if a Sheltie tests low normal, then the Sheltie's thyroid is low! One of the vets at our place always suggests lowering his dose. Nope! It's working just fine, thank you.
 
Sounds like it's working, Gloria. I haven't had to deal with thyroid issues, thank goodness. Hugs to Logan.

Well, it seems like everyone is OK with T4 registering at 3.5!
He seems way more animated with this dosage.
I think my vet thinks it is too high.

Anyway, he is just a little pistol reminding me in the evening when it is time to give him his meds!
