Loosing hair around the eye?

I agree with Aztec/ My sons dog had the same issue and would loose a lot of hair around his left eye. This went on for 3 years, then we found out he had allergies.

It's only been two days, and the Chinese herb the vet gave me already seems to be doing the trick. His eye is starting to look a HECK of a lot healthier, and some of the hair seems to already be coming back...even my trainer noticed, and was surprised how quickly it was taking affect. The Conjunctivitis seems to be almost cleared up as well...he seems to be doing a lot better! And all in a matter of 48 hours! It also probably helps that he is back on his raw food(I ran out and was unable to drive the hour and a half to get more right away - so I had to settle for kibble...*shutters*) Even his energy level seems to be more upbeat...I'm so glad he's doing better!!!

Me too! That's GREAT news! Those eyes had to have been making Caliber very uncomfortable ;-(..poor babe.

I just want to jump in here and say, the vet has a gel to put in their eyes before you use anything close to the lid. The gel will protect the eyes like a pair of goggles.

Demodex are like little cigars with legs, and I am so happy it was caught.

That's what the vet has given me...well, not for the Demodex, but for the conjunctivitis. The herb is for the demodex.

But...go figure, and just my luck, Replyka now has conjunctivitis. I kind of half expected it though, as it is contagious. Good thing I have those eye drops!

Caliber now seems to be not bothered at all by either the conjunctivitis or the Demodex...which I'm happy for!!

hair loss around the eyes was the first sign that we got that Ruckus has food allergies.

he is allergic to chicken, wheat, and corn.

and grass, but thats a contact allergy.

Tara, Bu Zhon Yi Qi Tang, is that given by mouth? My vets use a dip. That is why I was saying about the gel, so the solution wouldn't ever get in the eyes.

When you mentioned what your vet used, it sounds terrific, because I was reading what was in the dip and the side effects.

Tara, good job!
