Massive Sheltie Pants!

I started them on the canine athlete. I'll have to watch the coat and let you know. Ember's coat did seem to get more soft as she aged and got undercoat. Diva is still too young to tell. It seems to be getting more harsh. She certainly does not have Justice's texture as of yet.

Not that it really matters for me. Chloe is spayed (which could be the issue as well) and I personally do not mind the soft coat. As long as she is healthy, right :biggrin2:

Hi- Sandstorms breeder also breeds many show-dogs who have the same coat texture as Sandstorms- Sandstorm is not show quality, mainly due to his size. Most of his siblings will be shown- he is one of five. He was the only pup left, I did not pick out of a litter-however, I got him when he was 5 months old, so he was the breeders favorite- I didn't care if he was a show dog or not. I think he is the biggest dog she has ever bred.

That the great thing many show breeders have dogs that have dogs that from one reason or another can't be shown and an excellent sources of companion pups. Diva has a brother who is almost 19 inches. His mom is only 13. Go figure. Sandstorm looks like a nice pup.:smile2:

Sandstorms "silky" coat

Actually, when I say "silky", I mean softer than the shepherds- I have nothing else to compare his fur to. I like it because it doesn't come off in my hands the way our shepherds shedding fur did. Sandstorm is huge, TALL, and I never cared about show quality. The breeder did, and even glued his ears:yes:, which don't tip-fine with me-he has the best temperament ever!!
I emailed his brothers owner to find out how tall he is, haven't heard yet. His father had so much fur- is there really a difference in coat management-silky vs more coarse? I am expecting to make pillows and give them away.

I've been feeding the boys a supplement called "Inflight" that I got ages ago - I think on Lightplum's recommendation.

Now I'm wondering if that's what is contributing to Indy's big butt and maybe I should lay off for Indy.

Lightplum...if you are monitoring this thread....are you still using it?
