Max can't cut a break

We sent Max DNA to Washington state to be tested for the MDR-1 gene and just found out he has it. Waiting for the vet and allergist to call because they already tried cutting back the temerol p because his spec cpl was so high, we would get to a point then he would start itching bad again. I just keep trying to make him well and it seem 1 step forward 2 steps back.
 
Hang tough! Sending hugs to you and Max! Are there other meds you can try, so there's no interference w/ the gene issue?
 
There.not concerned with the gene???? But we started himon Zyrtec and cut back again on the temerol p. he is scratching but not to bad
