That looks pretty cool to me. I had a couple of similar chairs back when I was trialling, but soft crates were few and far between back then. I would have loved something like this that served two purposes!
Believe it or not, I travelled to shows in a 2-door 1992 Nissan Sentra with a small Sheltie (12 lbs) and a humongous Border Collie (68 lbs). It was like watching the overstuffed clown car at the circus - people would stop and stare when we were unloading. This is when I developed my famous Theory of Dog Equipment Sufficiency, which states that you must have 10 times the weight of each dog in equipment. ({dogweight1}*10)+({dogweight2}*10)=totalequipmentweight (I wrote it up in a column in "Front and Finish".)
Regardless, I would have welcomed a dual-purpose anything at that time. Carting chairs, heavy wire crates, dogs, tack boxes, etc. to the ringside required a small platform handtruck and a second person to hold leashes and control antsy dogs.
And I don't know how many overnight shows we travelled to where I forgot to pack people stuff - no change of clothes, no toiletries, etc! Man, those were the days! LOL
