Maybe Getting New Puppy Soon

Together you say? Curled up together next to me Sunday night watching football and snoozing.

Did Piper manage to get on your couch already? Girls!!!! We JUST taught 10 month old Deacon 'UP' two nights ago which he will ONLY do for a day's worn sock - his favorite toy in life! Everyone should have a day old sock to play with according to Deacon! And VERY impressed that your girls lay together and watch TV - our boys are crazy, racing, twirling, barking at the TV or the cat or the fish, playing tug of war, stealing toys, or socks, racing around the room type of crazy every night from about 7 until Deacon decides he needs to go to bed. They nap daytime and are always close to each other, but not close to each other r laying together like Piper and Roxy. Your pics are SOOOOOO sweet!

She did. Tiny little thing that she is. If I’m on the couch with her she’s not allowed to hop down in her own. But some times I’m doing something and suddenly it’s way too quiet and I have to go on a hunt for a puppy. She’s often curled up in a blanket in the couch minding her own business. So I’m sure sometimes she’s up and down on her own. She also doesn’t mind going under things. Under the chair outside. Under the central air unit. Under the bed. :gaah I covered her with a light sheet. Not a care in the world. I might see if I can find or build some puppy appropriate agility type things for her to explore in the yard and see what she thinks. If I build things I can always add height later but she can start getting used to weird textures underfoot in the yard. We have a glider chair with a glider footstool. Good lord, her first night she hopped right up on it and sat down. What is she doing in my home?? I think she might be way too smart for me.

We had a quick game of herd the sheepdog this morning except this time Roxy was the runner and Piper was the herder. I was so happy to see the look on Roxy’s face as she was tearing around the yard. :shameful:

I swear that sometimes she’s bringing her toys TO Piper and letting her either take it and run or to just take hold of. Roxy is 34-35 pounds and Piper just about 8.5 (I think I need to put a bit of weight on her besides her normal growth though). Roxy could easily snatch the toy right from her or tug and yank and shake Piper’s neck. But she doesn’t. Just gently pulling and walking. Not digging in with her back legs like she does with me on the other end. It almost looks like she’s mothering her.
