Measuring Zak

I don't have a wicket so we took a yard stick and held it against the cabinet to keep it straight and then a ruler and held it across his shoulder blades and he has grown an inch. He is now 17 1/2 inches since the last time we measured which was months ago. Does this sound like a good way to do it with out a wicket.
I did not realize he had grown again.

I don't have one either, and just used a ruler. I should measure my Lucky Boy, I wonder if they shrink as they grow older? He is nine and he looks shorter to me.

This is the way I measure my guys too. I don't know if it's as accurate as a wicket but it at least gives us an approximate measurement.

I put a light pencil tick on the doorframe, just like for kids, and then measured. Again, not as accurate but it does give a close measurement.

I do that too, they are used to standing against the paper on the wall to get measured. To make it really accurate I have stuck the pencil on a spirit level so when I make the mark I know its at the right angle. I still have the very tatty piece of paper that I measured them since pups stuck up.
