Meeting with Sheltie Rescue ladies tomorrow!

Hoping everything was well with the Rescue. Can't wait for an update on how everything went and that you'll be bringing a new Sheltie home soon.

Wow, the anticipation must be something! Great news, can't wait to hear who your new fur-friend will be. He or she will be one lucky Sheltie. Thanks so much for rescuing.

Sharon

Thank you all for your votes of confindence! I am excited....but I am also remembering Anna...I know I will love the new dog, and give it the love and stability it needs..... I cried today for the first time in a week or so. I am on pins and needles for sure. Anna was so good, but not when I first got her. She was a mess when I got her.

I am trusting God to put me with the right dog...could only be a sheltie! Is there any other kind of dog??

I'll keep you posted.

Beth

of course you will love your new baby!
I remember when I was driving gavin back from the breeders, and he was crying being separated from his mom and siblings.
I had the "what have I gotten myself into" freakout moment.
But you know you can do it, having already had a pup with issues.
So you are ahead of the curve!

Well, it's now 9am here in California. Which means you should be done, or finishing up. Well, how'd it go? Who were you paired with?

And as everyone has said, thank you for rescuing.

Well, the women came, and we talked, and they brought an "ambassador", a female who had been in foster for a year. Her name is Daisy. She was so pretty and so sweet, and took to me right away. She came to them weighing 64 pounds, and is down to 30....I am a bit overweight myself, but have changed my diet and walk daily. I have (with the help of the Sheltie Angel here at the site), most of the money, but lack about $50.00, which I will have on August 1st. Part of the reason I didn't have the full amount is I purchased a six month supply of Revolution last weekend.

Daisy needs to be an only dog. She lives with four others, but the rescue ladies agreed she would be happier in a one dog home. We reached a deal. I will go pick up Daisy on August 3rd.

If you would like to see her, she is on the Austin Sheltie Rescue site, under adoption. It is good I have to wait a bit, I have two house/animal sitting jobs this month, and I would like to have a strong bond with her before I bring her to a job. So she'll feel secure in a new environment with me.

Daisy and I will get thin together! And she is the sweetest pup... I have about a month to go before I get her...I will be accumulating things for a new dog as I get paid from my housesitting jobs, new beds, grooming tools, Taste of the Wild....

I will keep you posted. I am very excited.

Beth
