Melli and another leg issue

Late to this thread - Cara. Very clever with the rain coat I must say. I'm sorry you are struggling with this. So weird to just come up abscessed like that, it does sound like a foxtail or thorn, but who knows. Brooke suddenly got a cheek abscess a couple of years ago, not a tooth - don't know what the heck caused that one either. Had to have a drain in before it finally healed. Good luck and hopefully it won't get as far as surgery.
 
Thank you . . . I have wracked every brain cell. No foxtails. Maybe a splinter? Maybe a spider bite? Maybe a scorpion sting? Maybe a rug burn? Maybe a small cut by a sharp rock or door sill? No clue. On the upside, it's summer and I wouldn't leave the house much anyway for fear of fire like last year.
 
Much improved. I think maybe another month . . . seriously. Saturday will be a month since the big abscess and ER vet trip.
