We had a fun show yesterday even if the weather was against us. Absolutely tipping it down until 2pm, meaning our usual field for walkies was mud-struck and Merlin had to stay in the car. That being said I think it did him good as he had plenty of energy. I also think letting him get a bit hyped up before his run helped too.

Couldn't do much about his dodgy handler though! I got completely lost with all the circles in the last course and ending up causing Merlin to back jump:o But we are slowly improving.

Next time we have an outdoor show, so I am hoping for good weather!
 
Both of you look fantastic!! I would get lost too. Everything is green! I assume they're all green for St. Patrick's day. I depend on the different colored jumps. That helps me remember the course. "ok, after I take the pink jumpy the second time, turn purple, blue then green."

Nice save on the second clip when Merlin almost takes the backside of the jump. Good jump getting him to come around.

You and Merlin are making lots of progress. Great job!

Nope, they are just always green! I like the idea of different coloured jumps, but everywhere I go they are all uniform colours!:lol: Yes, the save on the back jump was such a relief, I thought I had lost it there.

Looking good Sophie, Merlin is getting a lot better and more attentive a bit more practice and you guys will be flying.

Thank you, he is doing so much better and really understanding what I want, which must be challenging as sometimes I don't even know what I want!

On the Sunday after the comp we had a training session with a wonderful lady who competes at Crufts. She showed me some simple steps to stop the back jumping, I was utterly amazed. We are now doing some lovely tight turns around jumps and she really understood Merlin and showed me how to build his confidence. I'm feeling all fired up for our next comp:smile2:
