Thank you all for the wishes of many happy times with Molly. She has exceeded our expectations in just about every way. She has done an amazing job settling in considering she's only been here for 42 hours!! She truly seems relaxed and happy, she shows no timidity, no fear, no stress. She's smart, very perky, gentle, playful and willing to please.
After a bit of warming up Molly is great with James when he is sitting and quiet, which he is half the time. The other half he does a lot of pacing around the house which seems to wind Molly up and she barks, circles and chases....none of which is particularly concerning, just loud. We'll be helping her learn to just ignore him when he's pacing, which is what all our other dogs, even the border collie, eventually learned to do. It just becomes a behavior they get used to and accept as part of the normal household routine.
