More cat problems

We really were doing fine. I have a household with 2 cat's and 2 dogs. Lacey was afraid of the cats when she first came and she was fine, but after she went into heat she is a pain with them. She want's to chase the one older cat and I don't know how to stop this.

Any suggestions?

Hey Miss Judyg, I don't have this problem but like you, my daughter also has 2 dogs and 2 cats and she had a similar issue which resolved itself, because after the cat gets tired of Lacey messing with her, she will do the "kitty" thing and put Lacey in her place and it probably won't take more than once for Lacey to learn that lesson. :hide :fl

Clip the cat nails short and let them tell her off. Cubby can be a little "playful" with the cats and they just smack him.

Otherwise, squirt bottle. Just waving that thing around will be enough to call her off after a couple squirts.

The trouble is this cat does not tell her off. I really wish she would. She just runs and you know what happens when a cat runs from a sheltie. It's the perfect excuse to chase. My poor kitty.
